The commodification of everything is not a positive development. We learn the cost of everything and the value of nothing. There are no problems wth law firm financing which are best addressed with this radical model. This model threatens a corrosion and corruption of attorney independence and its benefits are not of a magnitude to overcome these risks. We have already seen how treating government as a business corrupts and corrodes good government. We have examples and warnings in the penal system and healthcare system. There will always be those who find a way to make money from rearranging deck chairs without creating actual value. This is just another example of the elevation of the Almighty Dollar above all other considerations.
