I am going through the same thing in NC. I raised my 2 children primarily alone as a single mother and the NC State District Court in Winston-Salem, Forsyth County, NC just allowed my two x-husband lawyer husbands (with whom I have a child with each) to have hearings at the same time against me so that I was forced to be a Plaintiff and a Defendant at the same time and represent myself since I was denied the opportunity to get my own counsel. I was bullied and harrassed by Judicial Staff and the Judge Jane Harper (retired from Mecklenburg County was brought in at the request of Forsyth County Chief District Court Judge Lisa V. L. Menefee. The Judge has published via the internet the most libelous information about me and made up her own findings of fact in the Custody Orders that awarded sole custody of both of my children to their dads and NO VISITATION for me! I am a licensed attorney and have worked very hard for the last 16 years practicing law and diligently representing my clients rights. I have been an excellent mother and provided for my childrens‘ every need and had letters of recommendation from their pediatrician that I have been the parent that has brought them in for well and sick visits since infancy (my daugther now 14 and son 11) with no concerns about my parenting. My parental rights have been terminated without a termination hearing!!! I have filed a Federal Law Suit in the Eastern District of NC against the Family Court Judges (one H. Tom Jarrell illegally unsealed and resealed my Court file the morning that my father passed away and I was 4 hours away from Winston-Salem, with he and the attorney, Tyler Kline (counsel for my son‘s father Jonathan Leonard) communicating ex parte allowed him to make substantive changes to my 2005 custody order WITHOUT ME HAVING NOTICE OF HEARING OR AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE HEARD!!! I have been bullied, locked out of the courtroom by a Judicial assistant when I showed up for what I thought was going to be my day in court, and had parts of both of my court files with attorney x‘s Norman Bullard (represented by Ralph Pennington of Wilmington) and Jonathan Leonard (represented by Tyler Kline of Winston-Salem) stolen and missing. These lawyers have used was of extortion (Bullard has even stolen my 9 years old golden retriever that I got after our divorce, refusing to cooperate with law enforcement in New Hanover county to return him) to try to get me to settle in the cases and it has been allowed by the 5 corrupt judges for almost 2 years. If anyone has any information that they would like to provide to me to assist me as I prepare an Amended Complaint, that would be great. My email is coastalnclawyer@gmail.com. Ok People, These are the Revised Rico Suits, the changes are outlined in "blue", just cut and past, the wording in "red" is where you insert your defendants, ex‘s name, story ect....Remember to add your EX to the suit as a DEFENDANT, he/she is a party. All Defendants have to be named in the "PARTY" part of the suit, I set the date for Wednesday FEBRUARY 25, 2015 at 10 am at the Trenton Federal Building, address is below. Bring two copies of the suit plus one copy of the caption page (first page of your suit), get them all "stamped" and give me the extra caption page, this will be downloaded and sent out. Remember to download and fill out your Federal Civil Cover Sheet, an example is attached remember to specify RICO at the bottom with 42 USC 1983 and 1985 as stated on your caption page (first page of your complaint). The filing fee is $400.00 and they don‘t take cash, just check or money order. This fee covers the cost of all the motions that you will have to file, it is a one time fee. Also make sure that you fill out an "electronic file" at the court house, just ask the clerk, he will give you a sheet to fill out, you will receive everything via e-mail.

Hope to see you all there

This is about the horrible impact on children when judges make hasty and uninformed decisions. A plenary hearing gives a judge the time to hear the children directly. Without filtration. More importantly, it‘s a shame that the parents are not listening to their own children. Shame on them. http://www.nbcphiladelphia.com/video/

can there be a more biased, ill-informed and dangerous group than 180 Turning Lives around? They give classes on how to obtain restraining orders.

  • Jefferson

People (mostly males) are being forced out of their homes for nothing more than having an argument.

While youre at it- remove harassment as a predicate act for a restraining order under the DV laws- the most abused and tortured act in this state.

  • Father that lost his son

Judge Daniel D‘Alessandro of Hudson County, a criminal and a crook destroying the lives of kids for years. Taking their fathers away. This guy has to be jailed. the NJ Family Court system is a disgrace.

"The best interests of children" is code for gender bias, sexual harassment and the crucifixion of father‘s custodial/constitutional rights. I have been in Bergen Family Part for the last 10 years filing dozens of motions and OTSC including being forced into 3 evals by the corrupt and utterly bias Bergen Family Center. I have seen it all and I am here to tell you that Bergen is so out of control that men should not even bother hiring attys. The judges (I have been thru 4 in last decade) constantly and unethically co-counsel for females negating any legal representation. When the judges are faced with insurmountable 3rd party documentation of a females inability to parent – they send you to Bergen Family Center and within a few months their Social Workers have a report labeling the father a male with “anger and violence: issues with no documentation to support their claims. Ok, so now the father files an ethics complaint against the SW’s with absolute proof of the fabrications made to the court and guess what - nj board of social work examiners is 100% 5 member female staffed…guess what they said? They hide behind “confidentiality” of their investigations.

"Family" Courts should default to Shared custodial agreements instead of Primary for females. When a father wants Shared and the female is unwilling to cooperate the judges send you to Bergen Family Center (Fed & State funded $5,000,000 p/yr non-profit) for trumped up evals forcing father‘s to become indentured servants...thus the court can wash their hands of their unconstitutional female first decisions. If indeed you have money (to the tune of 50-75k) you may hire a real unbiased evaluator and that still may not hold water in Bergen.

Attys are aware of how bad it is in Bergen but refuse to stand up to these conspiring judges for fear of losing their status with the courts (yes, they have to walk into those rooms every day for their jobs). Unless, you, the father stand up and fight vigorously prepare to see your children on a limited basis for no good reason whatsoever other than you are male. Oh, and yes DV and child abuse charges are considered standard procedure as a tactic used by females and the court to further disrupt a father‘s custodial fight. Remember also – less time with dad means more money for mom.

After 10 years I have sole custody of the children however they need long term counseling. I don’t know how I will be able to put them through college but they are finally safe and I would do it all over again!

NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR CHILDREN even in the face of corruption.

Family court in NJ is a documented well established s-h-I-t-h-o-l-e the quality of decisions and justice in this branch of the court is abominable.

Gender parity in child support and custody rulings would be in the best interests of the children. Most new studies point to the importance of fathers in children‘s lives--in terms of social, educational and occupational outcomes. Mothers who sit home and collect child support and work less than 40 hours a week are NOT HELPING THEIR CHILDREN to anything other than a CYCLE OF POVERTY. The ability to financially and educationally support your child must be considered in these awards. A work ethic needs to be seen as a positive thing and judges who deviate more than 3 percentage points from gender parity need to explain that every six months and, if done 1 months contiguous, need to be removed. That would be in the best interest of children. This is written by a woman.

First of all we must take care and keep an eye on kids.No abuses on kids, woman, nobody.

Wow. Just wow. Shame on the ladies here for their (obviously) biased comments. This is NOT about YOU. This is not about control. This about a father‘s (and mother‘s) Constitutional rights. Memba that document? The one that keeps you from tyranny? Well, aside from the cases where there is an abusive man (or woman - and I know plenty of those!), there are also COUNTLESS cases where men are denied all rights simply for being men. How would YOU like that? You wouldn‘t. Well, neither do they. The point here, ladies, is that every citizen, man or women, is entitled to (real) due process. As you know, if you are being honest here, that does not happen in family court. What you may or may not want to admit to yourselves is that family court is CASH COW. The entire system benefits...the lawyers, the judges, the doctors, the other assorted bureaucrats who keep themselves gainfully employed...and who gets hurt? The kids do. If you think for one second that watching mommy and daddy duke it out in court is NOT going to scar them for life...think again. Many of these cases are borne out of revenge, NOT "THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CHILDREN". Hooey. Cuz IF that was truly the case, y‘all would be working things out OUTSIDE OF COURT like CIVILIZED HUMAN BEINGS!!! Yes...there are abusive situations, of course there are. And no women or child (or man) should EVER be subjected to such treatment nor be denied protections. BUT BUT BUT, once again, if we are to be sincerely honest - that is, take the emotion out of the equation - most of these cases are about revenge, money, & control. And NOBODY wins but the corrupt system. To jump in here and suggest that these men are liars? Abusers? Frauds? Really? Isn‘t it just possible that they are actual caring parents? Or is it that ALL MEN who fight for their kids are sex predators? I mean, seriously? You know that‘s not true. I know a lot of dads who are caring, tender, loving dads who want only what is best for their children. And yet, for all sorts of reasons unrelated to the matter at hand (namely marital discord) they beat dear old dad out of the picture, but not before painting him a predator, because, as we all know, that Scarlet Letter, will cast him into a position of weakness that will take all of the rest of his kids‘s childhoods from which to bounce back...if he ever does. So...let‘s be fair here. There are women who are abused, men who are abused, and kids who are abused. Many kids are abused by their mothers. I know many people personally who have been abused by their mothers, and who, as a result, have had horribly difficult existences. So let‘s not jump in here driven purely by emotion and cast dispersions on all men, calling them sex predators. If we do, we will NEVER EVER put an end to the wrongs these innocent kids suffer. If you really give a hoot about "the children", then you will step back, take a deep breath, and do what is right for them apart from yourself. God bless.

Need a statute that makes full JOINT CUSTODY (legal & residential) the default in all NJ divorces where then arguments would be about WHY that shouldn‘t apply - analogous to innocent until proven guilty. Today it‘s start from scratch and prove why you should get Joint or Sole custody. Also the issue in NJ is not best interest standard but that the same set of facts before different Superior Court Family judges will yield different results. Same thing used to happen with child support until NJ finally got wise and put in mandatory guidelines.

This happens to mothers who lose custody to abusive fathers who can afford unlimited legal fees. Children are auctioned off to the parent who has the most money, and the court does not investigate fathers who lie about employment or need to take children thousands of miles away from mothers. I hope mothers will be heard too!

  • Bonnie Russell

This is hilarious. If Father‘s need equal protection, why are so many women and children murdered by them simply for wanting a divorce. Check the "Kids Killed" section of www.familylawcourts.com.

IF they think the custody best interest standard it bad they should sit through some TPR trials before they ask for that standard or lack of standard to be applied.
